Profile

AlejandraMy work is mostly wheel thrown. I use stoneware clay which I fire at 1280 C in an electric kiln. I mainly use a high iron-bearing feldespatic glaze "Tenmoku" which has a subtle yellow colour on rims and throwing marks. I also use a green ash glaze with high content in iron becoming red in edges.
Some of my pots are left unglazed in some parts leaving a "rustique" appearance. I like simple shapes influence by the Japanese potters and the Spanish roots, which I combine with organic colours.
